Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait of a Lady, half-length, in a black dress in an interior by Emilio Gola was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,458.06). Admittedly, works by Emilio Gola have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paesaggio lungo il Naviglio Grande in April 2014 with an auction result of EUR 40,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait of a Lady, half-length, in a black dress in an interior von Emilio Gola im Juli 2012 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.458,06) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emilio Gola auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paesaggio lungo il Naviglio Grande im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.000,00.
