Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2008 Christies in London held the auction Important Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes, which included the work A young lady, in blue dress with green sash, an ochre-coloured stole over her left shoulder, gold earring, dark curling hair by Émilie Lachaud De Loqueyssie. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 875.00 (€ 1,106.03). Admittedly, works by Émilie Lachaud De Loqueyssie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two boys and their dog: the elder boy in ochre-coloured shawl and seated on the dog's back holding his brother in lace-bordered white dress with lace cap and blue ribbon, blue shawl; seated on a carpet with draped blue curtain in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,983.34).
Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Émilie Lachaud De Loqueyssie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two boys and their dog: the elder boy in ochre-coloured shawl and seated on the dog's back holding his brother in lace-bordered white dress with lace cap and blue ribbon, blue shawl; seated on a carpet with draped blue curtain im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.760,00 (€ 5.983,34).
