Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction The European Art Sale, which included the work Young Woman with a Sprig of Lilac by Émile Vernon. The price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 8,725.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Émile Vernon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Best of Friends in October 2002 with an auction result of USD 89,625.00 (€ 90,704.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The European Art Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Young Woman with a Sprig of Lilac von Émile Vernon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 8.725,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Émile Vernon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Best of Friends im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 89.625,00 (€ 90.704,38).
