Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work French starlight by Émile Vernon was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2010. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,766.49). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Émile Vernon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Best of Friends, which sold at auction in October 2002 for USD 89,625.00 (€ 90,704.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit French starlight von Émile Vernon wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.766,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Émile Vernon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Best of Friends beobachtet, die im Oktober 2002 für USD 89.625,00 (€ 90.704,38) versteigert wurde.
