Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French fille Au Citronnier by Émile Vernon was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2013. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,037.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Émile Vernon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Best of Friends in October 2002 with an auction result of USD 89,625.00 (€ 90,704.38).
