Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Émile Vernon could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting auction, the work French Belle D'Ete changed hands for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,647.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Émile Vernon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Best of Friends in October 2002 with an auction result of USD 89,625.00 (€ 90,704.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Émile Vernon konnte im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting wechselte die Arbeit French Belle D'Ete für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.647,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Émile Vernon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Best of Friends im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 89.625,00 (€ 90.704,38).
