Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Venus and Cupid; and An allegory of summer by Émile Louis Foubert was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2009. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,814.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Émile Louis Foubert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rêverie Dans L'Atelier, which sold at auction in March 2019 for EUR 5,850.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.814,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Émile Louis Foubert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rêverie Dans L'Atelier beobachtet, die im März 2019 für EUR 5.850,00 versteigert wurde.
