Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In November 2021 Sothebys in Paris held the auction La Polynésie Découverte : Collection Charles-Edouard Duflon, which included the work Corn and statue Maïs et statuette by Émile Chambon. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,292.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Émile Chambon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'indiscret in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 65,000.00 (€ 76,173.58).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion La Polynésie Découverte : Collection Charles-Edouard Duflon durch, in der auch die Arbeit Corn and statue Maïs et statuette von Émile Chambon zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.292,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Émile Chambon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'indiscret im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 65.000,00 (€ 76.173,58).
