Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Emile Fabry could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Allegory Of Victory changed hands for USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,775.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emile Fabry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Vers l'Idéal", 1901, which sold at auction in November last year for EUR 55,104.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emile Fabry konnte im Januar 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit Allegory Of Victory für USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.775,71) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Emile Fabry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Vers l'Idéal", 1901 beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für EUR 55.104,00 versteigert wurde.
