A top price for Emile Antoine Bayard - as previously expected
The work The Duel; and The Reconciliation by Emile Antoine Bayard was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,697.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Duel; and The Reconciliation is the most expensive artwork by Emile Antoine Bayard that we have observed at auctions so far.
