Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners, which included the work River Landscape With A Ruined Cottage And A Horse-Drawn Carriage On A Path by Emanuel Murant. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,757.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emanuel Murant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two peasant women in a farm courtyard, which sold at auction in April 2007 for GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,597.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners durch, in der auch die Arbeit River Landscape With A Ruined Cottage And A Horse-Drawn Carriage On A Path von Emanuel Murant zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.757,62) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Emanuel Murant mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two peasant women in a farm courtyard beobachtet, die im April 2007 für GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.597,36) versteigert wurde.
