The »bidding war« ended at DKK 10,000.00 (€ 1,341.20), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Emanuel Larsen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work “Amerikansk fregat i Marseilles havn” in September this year with an auction result of DKK 75,000.00 (€ 10,055.27).

Die Arbeit View from a habour in fire at night von Emanuel Larsen wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von DKK 10.000,00 (€ 1.341,20) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emanuel Larsen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit “Amerikansk fregat i Marseilles havn” im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 75.000,00 (€ 10.055,27).
