Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Nydia, The Blind Girl Of Pompeii by Emanuel Leutze for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,705.16). This price was achieved in the auction European Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emanuel Leutze achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Washington Crossing the Delaware in May last year with an auction result of USD 45,045,000.00 (€ 41,976,516.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Nydia, The Blind Girl Of Pompeii von Emanuel Leutze für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.705,16) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion European Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emanuel Leutze erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Washington Crossing the Delaware im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.045.000,00 (€ 41.976.516,63).
