Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work 'Fastlagsrisen' (Easter decorations) by Elsa Beskow was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 35,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 28,000.00 (€ 2,731.22). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elsa Beskow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "HATT-STUGAN. Bilderbok av Elsa Beskow" in December 2017 with an auction result of SEK 500,000.00 (€ 50,865.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit 'Fastlagsrisen' (Easter decorations) von Elsa Beskow im Dezember 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 28.000,00 (€ 2.731,22) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elsa Beskow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "HATT-STUGAN. Bilderbok av Elsa Beskow" im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 500.000,00 (€ 50.865,08).
