This artwork by Ellen Auerbach achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in May last year. In the Fashion Photographs from the Susanne von Meiss collection auction, the work R. Schottelius in New York, 1953 sold for EUR 4,410.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ellen Auerbach - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Greta Stern, which sold at auction in April 2016 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,925.62).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ellen Auerbach erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fashion Photographs from the Susanne von Meiss collection wurde die Arbeit R. Schottelius in New York, 1953 für EUR 4.410,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ellen Auerbach mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Greta Stern beobachtet, die im April 2016 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.925,62) versteigert wurde.
