A top price for Elizabeth Nourse - as previously expected
In April 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale, which included the work American La Mosquée Sidi-M'Harez Et La Place Bab-Souika, Tunis by Elizabeth Nourse. The price achieved of USD 121,000.00 (€ 77,723.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, American La Mosquée Sidi-M'Harez Et La Place Bab-Souika, Tunis is the most expensive artwork by Elizabeth Nourse that we have observed at auctions so far.
