In September 2014 Christies in London held the auction The Neil Wilson Collection: A Romantic Vision, which included the work Fairy courtship by Elizabeth Mary Watt. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,926.67), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elizabeth Mary Watt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Fairy Tale In The Forest, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,975.14).

Im September 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Neil Wilson Collection: A Romantic Vision durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fairy courtship von Elizabeth Mary Watt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.926,67) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Elizabeth Mary Watt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Fairy Tale In The Forest beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.975,14) versteigert wurde.
