This artwork by Elizabeth Keith achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in September this year. In the Fine Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Two Woodblock Prints sold for USD 3,200.00 (€ 3,023.43) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Elizabeth Keith have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hong Kong in July 2020 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,924.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 78 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Elizabeth Keith erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Japanese and Korean Art wurde die Arbeit Two Woodblock Prints für USD 3.200,00 (€ 3.023,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elizabeth Keith auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hong Kong im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.924,92).
