This artwork by Elizabeth Keith achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in September this year. In the Fine Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work a seated Chinese beauty in a Mandarin gown sold for USD 7,040.00 (€ 6,651.55) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elizabeth Keith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hong Kong, which sold at auction in July 2020 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,924.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Elizabeth Keith erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Japanese and Korean Art wurde die Arbeit a seated Chinese beauty in a Mandarin gown für USD 7.040,00 (€ 6.651,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Elizabeth Keith mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hong Kong beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.924,92) versteigert wurde.
