Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Hong Kong Harbour at night; and East Gate Seoul by Elizabeth Keith was worth GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,438.98) to a buyer in April 2012. This price was achieved in the auction Travel, Science and Natural History at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elizabeth Keith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hong Kong, which sold at auction in July 2020 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,924.92).

Die Arbeit Hong Kong Harbour at night; and East Gate Seoul von Elizabeth Keith war einem Käufer im April 2012 GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.438,98) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Travel, Science and Natural History bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Elizabeth Keith mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hong Kong beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.924,92) versteigert wurde.
