In April 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters: Part II, which included the work Portrait Of Countess Urszula Potocka, Née Zamoyska (C. 1750-1808/16), Bust-Length by Élisabeth-Louise Vigée Le Brun. The result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 87,404.95) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Élisabeth-Louise Vigée Le Brun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of the artist, bust-length in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,512,500.00 (€ 1,298,506.18).
