Auction result well in line with expectations
The work By the Window at Night by Elisabeth Collins was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2002. The price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 817.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elisabeth Collins - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Woman Reading In A Pond, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,316.65).
