A top price for Eliot Candee Clark - as previously expected
In February 2002 Christies in New York held the auction FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND SCULPTURE, which included the work Twilight, Noank by Eliot Candee Clark. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,050.00 (€ 8,142.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Twilight, Noank is the most expensive artwork by Eliot Candee Clark that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Februar 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND SCULPTURE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Twilight, Noank von Eliot Candee Clark zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.050,00 (€ 8.142,76) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Twilight, Noank das teuerste Kunstwerk von Eliot Candee Clark, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
