Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ettore Ximenes could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Travel and Vintage Posters auction, the work Lago Di Garda changed hands for GBP 500.00 (€ 597.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00. Admittedly, works by Ettore Ximenes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Washerwomen at the edge of an Italian lake in March 2004 with an auction result of GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,219.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ettore Ximenes konnte im November 2010 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ettore Ximenes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Washerwomen at the edge of an Italian lake im März 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.151,00 (€ 3.219,85).
