Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ritratto d'uomo 1930 ca. by Elio Luxardo was auctioned at Il Ponte in December 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 400.00. Admittedly, works by Elio Luxardo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nudo maschile 1937 in April 2018 with an auction result of EUR 2,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ritratto d'uomo 1930 ca. von Elio Luxardo im Dezember 2019 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 400,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elio Luxardo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nudo maschile 1937 im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.600,00.
