A top price for Elie Lascaux - as previously expected
The work Saint Cloud by Elie Lascaux was sold in the Intérieurs auction at Christies in Paris in April 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 5,400.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Saint Cloud is the most expensive artwork by Elie Lascaux that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Saint Cloud von Elie Lascaux wurde im April 2006 in der Auktion Intérieurs bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 5.400,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Saint Cloud das teuerste Kunstwerk von Elie Lascaux, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
