Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Western Art, which included the work Cerrillos 12 x 24 in. framed 17 x 29 in. by Elias Rivera. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 988.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Elias Rivera have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Women of Tarahumara III in November this year with an auction result of USD 5,120.00 (€ 4,693.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cerrillos 12 x 24 in. framed 17 x 29 in. von Elias Rivera zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.020,00 (€ 988,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elias Rivera auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Women of Tarahumara III im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.120,00 (€ 4.693,80).
