In September 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures, which included the work The Prins Hendrikkade by the Schreierstoren, Amsterdam by Elias Pieter van Bommel. The result of EUR 3,500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elias Pieter van Bommel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch a Busy Harbour With Merchants Unloading Their Goods in December 2010 with an auction result of EUR 63,150.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Prins Hendrikkade by the Schreierstoren, Amsterdam von Elias Pieter van Bommel zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.500,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.500,00 – 4.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elias Pieter van Bommel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch a Busy Harbour With Merchants Unloading Their Goods im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 63.150,00.
