Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli and International Art, which included the work Building In Jerusalem by Elias Newman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,375.00 (€ 1,583.97), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elias Newman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jerusalem in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 91,000.00 (€ 58,453.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli and International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Building In Jerusalem von Elias Newman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.375,00 (€ 1.583,97) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elias Newman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jerusalem im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.000,00 (€ 58.453,24).
