In December 2020 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Important Winter Sale, which included the work "Vuë af Gysinge Bruk i Jästrikland. Bark änu tillhörigt 1795" by Elias Martin. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 20,000.00 (€ 1,991.82), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elias Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vue de la Seine et du Louvre, prise depuis le Vert Galant, sous le Pont Neuf in April 2012 with an auction result of EUR 27,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Important Winter Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Vuë af Gysinge Bruk i Jästrikland. Bark änu tillhörigt 1795" von Elias Martin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 20.000,00 (€ 1.991,82) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elias Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vue de la Seine et du Louvre, prise depuis le Vert Galant, sous le Pont Neuf im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.400,00.
