Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work A harem beauty by Eleuterio Pagliano. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,426.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Eleuterio Pagliano have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Filatrice in June 2011 with an auction result of EUR 16,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A harem beauty von Eleuterio Pagliano zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.426,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eleuterio Pagliano auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Filatrice im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 16.250,00.
