Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A young girl getting water from the well by Eiler Sørensen was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in Stockholm in September this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,600.00 (€ 214.51). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eiler Sørensen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A peaceful moment in the kitchen in February 2002 with an auction result of GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,684.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A young girl getting water from the well von Eiler Sørensen im September diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.600,00 (€ 214,51) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eiler Sørensen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A peaceful moment in the kitchen im Februar 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.645,00 (€ 2.684,48).
