It achieved a price of GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,137.60), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eileen Agar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Taking Aim in April this year with an auction result of HKD 176,400.00 (€ 180,138.91).

Die Arbeit Man And Woman von Eileen Agar kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.410,00 (€ 5.137,60) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eileen Agar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Taking Aim im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 176.400,00 (€ 180.138,91).
