Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work View of Skansen by Ehrnfried Wahlqvist was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 375.00 (€ 476.44). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ehrnfried Wahlqvist - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pastoralt landskap med får, which sold at auction in February 2010 for SEK 12,500.00 (€ 1,288.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit View of Skansen von Ehrnfried Wahlqvist im Juli 2008 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 375,00 (€ 476,44) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ehrnfried Wahlqvist mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pastoralt landskap med får beobachtet, die im Februar 2010 für SEK 12.500,00 (€ 1.288,43) versteigert wurde.
