A top price for Egidio Boninsegna - as previously expected
The work Duello Tra Tori by Egidio Boninsegna was sold in the 19th Century Paintings and Sculptures auction at Sothebys in Milan in December 2007. The price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Duello Tra Tori is the most expensive artwork by Egidio Boninsegna that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Duello Tra Tori von Egidio Boninsegna wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion 19th Century Paintings and Sculptures bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Duello Tra Tori das teuerste Kunstwerk von Egidio Boninsegna, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
