Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A view of Delft after the explosion of 1654 by Egbert van der Poel was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2019. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,631.56). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Egbert van der Poel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A view of Delft after the explosion of 1654, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 111,150.00 (€ 171,923.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A view of Delft after the explosion of 1654 von Egbert van der Poel kam im Oktober 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.631,56) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Egbert van der Poel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A view of Delft after the explosion of 1654 beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 111.150,00 (€ 171.923,88) versteigert wurde.
