Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Salvaging the wreck, one off Durdle Dor by Edwin John Ellis was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours including Original auction at Christies in London in July 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 573.60 (€ 866.84). Admittedly, works by Edwin John Ellis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work On The Conway in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 3,585.00 (€ 5,157.00).

Die Arbeit Salvaging the wreck, one off Durdle Dor von Edwin John Ellis wurde im Juli 2004 in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours including Original bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 573,60 (€ 866,84) einen neuen Besitzer.
