Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Ruins in the desert, Egypt by Edwin John Alexander was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2010. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 875.00 (€ 1,008.89). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin John Alexander achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A peacock and marguerites in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,096.59).

Die Arbeit Ruins in the desert, Egypt von Edwin John Alexander kam im Oktober 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 875,00 (€ 1.008,89) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edwin John Alexander erzielen.
