Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horse in a landscape by Edward Troye was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 700,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,064.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Troye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work American Colonel Virgil Gardner And His Huntsman in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 181,000.00 (€ 123,229.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Horse in a landscape von Edward Troye kam im Juni 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.064,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Troye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit American Colonel Virgil Gardner And His Huntsman im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 181.000,00 (€ 123.229,85).
