In the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction, the work Red Grapes, Raspberries, Peaches, Whitecurrants And Hazelnuts, With An Ivory Casket And Roemer To The Side, On A Marble Ledge sold for GBP 21,875.00 (€ 27,619.35) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Ladell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With A Blue And White Vase, Peaches And Grapes; Still Life With A Bird'S Nest, Fruit And A Silver Tazza, which sold at auction in December 2006 for GBP 42,000.00 (€ 62,333.26).
