Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a lady, standing three-quarter-length, in a white dress and black shawl and hat, a rose to her corsage, her hands in a fur muff, in a landscape by Edward Hughes was sold in the British and Victorian Pictures auction at Christies in London in November 2000. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,304.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Hughes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British an English Artist Collecting Costumes In Brittany in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 40,946.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, standing three-quarter-length, in a white dress and black shawl and hat, a rose to her corsage, her hands in a fur muff, in a landscape von Edward Hughes wurde im November 2000 in der Auktion British and Victorian Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert.
