In the British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction, the work Lynton and Lynmouth from Haliday Hill sold for GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,699.47) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Henry Holder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Devil'S Cataract And Victoria Falls, From The West Bank Of The Zambezi River, which sold at auction in December 2017 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,440.15).
