Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2003 Christies in London held the auction At Home - British and Continental Pictures & Works on Paper, which included the work Anglers on a riverbank, said to be on the Conway, North Wales by Edward Henry Holder. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 763.75 (€ 995.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Edward Henry Holder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Devil'S Cataract And Victoria Falls, From The West Bank Of The Zambezi River in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,440.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion At Home - British and Continental Pictures & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Anglers on a riverbank, said to be on the Conway, North Wales von Edward Henry Holder zur Versteigerung kam.
