In September 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape with two figures and cottage; and Landscape with two figures fishing in rowing boat by Edward Beecham Lait for GBP 141.00 (€ 224.08). This price was achieved in the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 250.00 – 350.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Beecham Lait - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Off To Market; And Returning Home, which sold at auction in September 2004 for GBP 418.25 (€ 609.34).
