Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wearing Spring Garland by Edward Atkinson Hornel was sold in the The Scottish Sale auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 11,475.00 (€ 13,594.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Atkinson Hornel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bluebell Wood in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 122,986.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wearing Spring Garland von Edward Atkinson Hornel wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion The Scottish Sale bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.475,00 (€ 13.594,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Atkinson Hornel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bluebell Wood im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 122.986,82).
