Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Two girls with a bird's nest by Edward Atkinson Hornel was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 9,562.50 (€ 11,126.19), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Atkinson Hornel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bluebell Wood in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 122,986.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Two girls with a bird's nest von Edward Atkinson Hornel wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 9.562,50 (€ 11.126,19) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Atkinson Hornel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bluebell Wood im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 122.986,82).
