Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work The Bird's Nest by Edward Atkinson Hornel. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,062.50 (€ 11,173.55). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Atkinson Hornel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bluebell Wood in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 122,986.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion The Scottish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Bird's Nest von Edward Atkinson Hornel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.062,50 (€ 11.173,55) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Atkinson Hornel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bluebell Wood im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 122.986,82).
