Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Burmese Girls by Edward Atkinson Hornel was sold in the The Scottish Sale auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 12,084.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Atkinson Hornel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bluebell Wood in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 122,986.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Burmese Girls von Edward Atkinson Hornel wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion The Scottish Sale bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 12.084,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Atkinson Hornel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bluebell Wood im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 122.986,82).
