In April 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Ignited Passion by Eduardo Castrillo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 237,500.00 (€ 25,060.05), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Eduardo Castrillo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calmness In Organic Form sold at auction in October 2017 with the realized price of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 27,515.45).

Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ignited Passion von Eduardo Castrillo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 25.060,05) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Eduardo Castrillo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calmness In Organic Form im Oktober 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 27.515,45).
