Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2000 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work A figure by a lake with a church and mountains beyond; and A figure by a chalet in an Alpine landscape by Edouard Boehm. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,497.37). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edouard Boehm - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Partie aus Baiern; Partie aus Steiermark, which sold at auction in October 2002 for EUR 8,962.50.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A figure by a lake with a church and mountains beyond; and A figure by a chalet in an Alpine landscape von Edouard Boehm zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.527,50 (€ 2.497,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Edouard Boehm mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Partie aus Baiern; Partie aus Steiermark beobachtet, die im Oktober 2002 für EUR 8.962,50 versteigert wurde.
